We went to Mobile on the 4th for my family reunion. I have a VERY LARGE
family and the girls were a little reluctant because they don't really
know ALL their cousins because there are SO many and they live so far
away. Anyway they were ready to go when we got there but a couple of
hours later they were begging to stay...Isn't it funny how you KNOW when
you are with family. It feels comfortable, like an old shoe
Here we all are hanging out at Paul and Terry's house.
Poor Hanna barely knew anyone there! Which is funny because Dewayne and Robert always loved going to see everybody. We would arrive in Butler and they hit the ground running to do their thing with everybody. We wouldn't see them again until it was time to go! Even then we would have to go pick them up at Terry's house on the way home.
And now the big moment... The annual photo shoot.
SERIOUSLY! It's a big huge deal at the reunions!
SERIOUSLY! It's a big huge deal at the reunions!
Here are most but not all of my uncles and aunts. Starting in the front: R.K., Katie, Louise, and Frank. Standing in the back: Billy, Donald, Ricky, Johnny, Terry and Daddy.
R.K. and his son.
Katie and her boys.
Louise and the gang. There are more of them there because it's at their house in Mobile!
Frank and the gang from Miami. It amazes me how they always make it. That's a long way!
I didn't know we were related to such gorgeous people! (Haha)
Donald and his family. I have no idea where Susan is?
Ricky and his girls.
Billy and his family.
Terry and his kids.
Uncle Johhny and his women (haha)
Dewayne is so funny! This is my favorite picture.
Here are the grandchildren...
The great grandchildren...
...and last but not least, the great-great grandchildren.
We could barely get the kids out of the pool to take these pictures. This explains why they are all soaking wet in the family photos.
I'm so glad we were there! We never get to see our family except at reunions because we live so far away. I've always wondered what it would have been like growing up with all our family around...probably better to wonder than actually do it! :) Just kidding! (not!)
