Thanksgiving Came Early This Year
Drew just got home from Kuwait on Tuesday, so Thanksgiving had already begun the moment he stepped off the plane Tuesday night. Linda and Dewayne went to El Paso to be there when his plane arrived, so it was just us Thanksgiving Day.
It was quiet without them here but we made good use of our time. Samantha and Jessica taught Clint and Hanna how to make parachute bracelets. I'm not sure if Samantha is concentrating on the parachute bracelet or whether she should swipe one of the cupcakes Hanna made.
That's what I thought.
What?!
Back to the bracelets...
Tiger wanted to learn too!
I always have to take a picture of Mom in the kitchen on the holidays.
Jessica is explaining the fine art of making parachute bracelets to Hanna.
Now it's Hanna's turn.
Enough of that, let's move on to these new wreaths everyone's been making!
Especially if it involves a glue gun!
Ta Da!

Auburn Homecoming 2011
We went to the Homecoming game this year. Turned out to be a good game to go to because we got to see a win! ha ha.
My favorite part of the game has always been watching Aubie, but if you don't sit in the student section you don't see him much. We were close to the visitor's side and Aubie walked over to visit with them. When he did the Samford Bulldog started growling at him :) It was hilarious.
Here's the half time show. We got lucky to go to a game on a cloudy day with no rain.
After the game we went to see the new basketball arena.
And the Coach's Trophy from last season.
But the best part of the day was showing the girls the trees at Toomer's Corner being rolled for one of the last times ever. But that's what we get for winning a National Championship. Auburn should know better than to have a good season! ($#@&!)
We had a great day together! Auburn does that to a family. :)

Peanut Festival Parade
Samantha and Lilly Grace in the Peanut Festival Parade 2011
Samantha has always wanted to be in this parade and luckily the PTO asked the Rebelette Queens to ride with the Skipperville Queens. She was so happy and excited, then we got there and I had forgotten her crown and banner. I panicked! So I dropped off Clint and Jessica with Sue and Scott to watch the parade. I then proceeded to race back to the house to get them! On my way I was stopped by a police officer, thankfully I only got a warning. If he had known a little girls happiness was at stake he would have given me a police escort. Finally, I made it home and but couldn't find her crown! I got another one which she has never ceased telling me was the wrong crown for the Rebelette pageant. So, I got a different crown, but I did get the right banner and headed back to downtown Dothan. Cars could not drive up to main street so Sue got in the car with me. I dropped her off as close as possible and she ran all the way down a side street to main street with the crown and banner in hand. She was taking awhile so I thought she'd either had a heart attack from running that far or Samantha was already gone! I was so relieved to see her riding back on a golf cart. As luck (God) would have it, a very nice man picked up Sue when she got to main street (otherwise the heart attack would have been a much bigger problem :) and drove her to Samantha's float which had not even moved one inch since I had dropped her off before this wild goose chase began! Mission accomplished, my baby was a queen in all her glory.
The END!

Paradise Pumpkin Patch
2nd Grade Class Field Trip!
This place was just down the road near Eufaula and there wasn't really all that much to it but it was BY FAR the best field trip we have ever been on!
In this picture the kids have just gotten off the wagons to go to their first stop, the pumpkin patch.
Choosing a pumpkin was very serious business.
Finally, they found the perfect pumpkin for each of them.
Below is Sam, Wesleigh, and Emmaline.
Then we moved on to the animal barn.
Below, Sam is demonstrating how to milk a cow.
Aww, what a lucky goat.
Samantha made friends with the turkeys.
Hay was abundant at Paradise Pumpkin Patch. Here they are racing through a trail of hay.
This ride was a really cute idea but it lacked one important thing, shocks!
The other thing there was an abundance of was CORN!
And the last thing we did was the corn maze. I know why they saved it for last, in case you get lost at least you got to do all the other fun stuff first. I think some children might still be in there!
