It Was A Very Good Kindergarten Year

Here's Samantha with her "most favoritest" kindergarten teacher in the whole world, Mrs. Miller.
Mrs. Miller gave a party for all the students whose birthday falls during the summer. Here's Camie and Samantha. I guess Sam ditched her birthday hat?
Mrs. Miller's giving Samantha her birthday licks. I wish I'd been there to do it, not that Samantha needs a spanking or anything : )
Emmaline and Samantha at the party. Hey, Sam found her hat!
Monkeys on the monkey bars, Lilly Grace and Samantha.
Jacob and Samantha sittin' on the slide...
but "girls have more fun," or so Kenna's shirt says anyway.
know they're more silly!
The theme of the kindergarten program this year was The Circus. Samantha, Lilly Grace, Emmaline and MaKenna were acrobats. Here's Samantha performing her stunts for the audience.
Doesn't Samantha look so proud recieving her diploma from Mrs. Welch. I'm proud of her too!
Nana came bringing lots of gifts of course!
Grandma came from Tennesse to see our little angel graduate too.
Oh no, Jessica is in danger of being seen with her parents at school!
It was a VERY GOOD kindergarten year!

Below is a picture of me and the most fabulous kindergarten teacher ever, Mrs. Annetta, with the  graduating class of 1978.

Elevations Dance Recital 2010

Sela and Jessica in the audience before the show.
Samantha with her friend Hatton backstage.
Samantha was twirling like a ballerina because on this night she was a ballerina, my tiny dancer.
"Ballerina, you must have seen her dancing in the sand.
Now she's in me, always with me, tiny dancer in my hand."
This was the best costume! She was so precious in this one. She posed like this and asked me to take her picture. I have her trained well.
Jessica, Sela, and Samantha after their cheernastics exhibition showing off their medals.
It was a great year. Jessica and Sela were in the same clogging class and all three were in cheernastics together. We will not get that lucky again, but they sure did enjoy it this year.

Kindergarten Field Trip at Landmark

MaKenna and Samantha admiring how things "used to be."
Here they go into the chicken house. Watch out for that rooster!
What's that smell!?
Samantha didn't like feeding the ram. She threw the food at him!
She's definetely mine : ) See her walking away. I can tell she's thinking these folks are crazy!
Funny thing...if Landmark hadn't moved these farm houses to the park we could have just stayed at home. This house is from Skipperville and the old school house is from Brown's Crossroads. I told Samantha if she'd lived a 100 years ago that would've been her school. She didn't get it...?
She just looked at me funny like I was crazy.
After a tour of the farm, they all played on the playground. This is Jessica's favorite but Samantha...
said it made her feel SICK!
The boys, Ian, Jacob, Blake and "Sam?"
I told Blake and Samantha I am putting this on their wedding slideshow one day. It could happen : )
It was Kenna's birthday and instead of cake
Mrs. Nikki brought snowcones.
Emmaline and Kenna are busy making them for their friends and Samantha's busy eating hers!
It was a fun day but it's time to go!

First Trip to the Lake 2010

Blake, Megan, Emma Kate, Maddie and Lilly all went with us to the lake to get ready for Blake's youth retreat at the Slawson's. They had a blast on the tube and the Nautique (a.k.a "the bumble bee") is awesome!
Our new Ski Nautique (a.k.a. the bumble bee)

Jessica and Maddie
Emma Kate's ready to ski.
Blake did a "ski by" and wet us all!
That's my baby sticking out her tongue at us!

Easter 2010

Jessica and Samantha showing off their beautiful Easter baskets from Nana.
Their Easter dresses were so precious. The pearls made it don't you think! Aunt Sue bought them at Gymboree of course.
Clint with Jes and Sam on Mom's front porch.
Opening their Easter baskets...

Samantha helping Nana in the kitchen before dinner.
Below is the Easter cake Nana made.
Yum!
And off we go to hunt Easter Eggs!

Sam, Jes and Nana counting to make sure we got them all. We can't let any plastic eggs rot in the sun right! Remember the bad ole days! I remember I actually ate Easter eggs after a couple of days. How I didn't get food poisoning I'll never know!
Jessica making sure there's no money in the eggs!
