Yes, I realize that literally building one another up is not what Paul meant 

but stunt time in the pool does teach us to encourage and trust one another!

I can't believe how big they are now. 

It seems like yesterday Maddie was the baby 

and Lilly wasn't even born yet!

The video in the 2008 blog post shows Jessica learning to do a back flip while standing in the water.

So has this little one who was only known by God at the time.

VBS 2014: Agency D3 Discover, Decide, Defend

This year we had a spy theme at VBS and the kid's were wild about it!

They wore sunglasses and disguises...

even some of the big kids got into the spirit!

One of the best parts about VBS this year was having Brandon and Matt 

perform skits for the kids and teach music every night. 

We had VBS at night this time, hoping to have more participation and help. Although I loved having all the extra helpers and everyone having the opportunity to be at VBS it took it's toll on me. I am not a night owl! As you can see Sam was a little tired herself.

Jessica and Holland helped with crafts.

You can take the girls out of VBS but you can't take VBS out of the girls!

The night of the program everyone was wearing their Agency D3 uniforms and sunglasses. 

Samantha got to hold the Bible during the pledge. 

"I pledge allegiance to the Bible, God's Holy Word, I will make it a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path and will hide its words in my heart that I might not sin against God."

It's show time!

Samantha successfully completed her 9th VBS.

 (Sue's been bringing her since she was one.)

Morning Ride

BYG Summer Kick Off 2014

The youth group went to Bagby State Park for the week. They stayed at the Bagby Lodge and ate their meals at Jody's place on the lake. Mr. Cliff, Brandon, Mr. Matt, Mr. Jody and Mrs. Tara spent the week with the youth. Each day they played on the lake, ate great food with the help of lots of people from the church, and had a bible study each night. 

On Friday night, Mrs. Katrina headed up a Luau for the youth. 

Here they are coming from across the lake to the Luau. 

They were each greeted with a lai by Mrs. Katrina and Mrs. Melissa. 

Mr. Matt grilled a pig

and kabobs!

The food and decorations were fabulous as you can see. 

It was a short luau because a storm blew in 

that was so bad it sank Mr. Cliff's boat, 

but it is a night (and week) they will always remember.

So many people helped with the Summer Cook off that I can't name them all but I'll try: Everyone I've already mentioned, NikNik, Mr. Heath, Mrs. Brandy, Subie, Mrs. Renee, Mrs. Kim, Mr. Lee, Ethan, Mrs. Haley, Jamie, Mr. Randall, Mrs. Marcie (Ma)...I'm sure I missed some names!

Samantha's 10th Birthday Party (Part 2)

Alright, I must explain the out of focus pictures. I did take my camera but I did not take my camera card!! I was so mad! So I improvised and took pictures and videos with my iPhone. 

It was a scorcher that day so we started with the bumper boats.

And they're off.

Samantha stylin' her new Raybans.

They didn't stay hot for long. The water blasters worked really well. 

Then to dry off they made their way over to the go-carts. 

They dried their hair riding the go-carts...

and in the tornado tube!

Then they ended their day in the arcade. 

Alex was on a roll winning the jackpot on this game over and over. 

I asked him to go to Vegas with me. 

Holland and MaKenna do not like to have their picture taken
so I snapped this picture of them with Sawyer really fast while they weren't looking. 

Samantha is trying to figure out how to win the jackpot herself!

She finally got it!

And here they are with their winnings! Some of the others are still inside picking out their prizes. 

Time flew by and it was time to go home. It was so much fun we might do it again next year.
