Summer and Soccer

Samantha had a "fit" to play indoor soccer this year. I was hesitant because I did not want my "baby" to get hurt! Well, I thought she would go to practice a couple of times and realize it was "not for her." No WAY! She loved it!
 Emma Kate and Maddie stayed with Sue for a few days this summer and they got to see Samantha in one of her first games.

Here's Daddy and Samantha before the game. Clint turned into "Soccer Dad" and I had to keep him reined in, he got VERY excited during the games! I told him it was a good thing we didn't have boys!

Emma Kate and Maddie enjoyed watching but they've never actually played a team sport...YET! Surprising given Blake and Megan are their parents!!!

Our first game was against the "purple" team and we Won! The green team started out strong winning the  first few games...then they lost a couple and tied a couple. I think some of the other teams brought in "ringers" just to beat the GREEN MACHINE!

Yes, girls will be girls! Jes takes after her mom, she prefers to braid hair rather than watch the game! UGH! If she didn't find THESE games exciting she won't find any sports exciting!

Sela got to come to one of the games as well. She brought a crew with her too. Samantha had a very large cheering section that night. We took up the entire bench on one side!

Paw Paw also came to most of the games and 

Mom got to come to at least one game.
Of course Sam had the usual crew at every game: Me, Clint, Sue and Jes.

Most of the time Sam "watched" her teammates as she stood "guarding" the goal. Maybe she was giving moral support or... just maybe she was daydreaming.  Maybe she was trying to keep from getting hit or kicked, that's my girl!

...But on the nights we played the "red" team she was in on the action. You would've thought she was playing in the world cup. It may have had something to do with Blake being on the red team...yeah, definetely.

Well, finally the season came to an end. It was a lot of fun and Samantha made some very good friends.

Here we are at the "End of the Season" party. We had planned to go to the beach that night but Sam wouldn't have it! Sam's showing off for Mr. Brandon.

See.. told ya she was showing off. I guess she thinks she's tough now because she's a soccer player!

Blake decided Jessica needed to go play in the inflatable so he just picked her up and threw her in...he must have gotten some muscles playing soccer this summer! 

Then Blake and Jacob decided Samantha needed to play in the inflatable also. Wait a minute... it takes two to throw Sam in and only one to throw Jes in?

We had a great time, I hope Samantha and Jessica want to play next year!
